Watchdog Files Title IX Complaints Against Two More Ohio School Districts
- October 16, 2025
Even in the face of federal guidance and state law, Ohio school districts keep on a troubling trend advocating for boys in girls’ sports and private spaces.
Something must be in the water coolers in Ohio schools. Buckeye school districts keep imposing transgenderism on their students in violation of federal guidance and state law.
After previously filing Title IX complaints against two Ohio high schools, government watchdog Protect the Public’s Trust (PPT) has acted on two more schools pushing transgender ideology — a school of thought inherently discriminatory toward women and in violation of Title IX.
One complaint alleges that Springfield City School District in Ohio is allowing boys to compete in girls’ sports and utilize female-only privacy spaces. Speaking with an undercover reporter from Accuracy in Media (AIM), the school secretary and registrar admitted that the “go with the flow” practices may continue and that by enrolling a male student “as a female, [he] plays sports as a girl.” She also stated that the district has some transgender students in the district who nobody knows are transgender and that “it’s up to you guys’ [parents’] discretion if you guys don’t want people to know,” even though the school district knows “because [of] all the paperwork.” This means the school knowingly allows students to compete as the opposite sex.
PPT filed a separate complaint against Ohio’s Norwood City School District. There, the district’s secretary disclosed to an undercover AIM reporter how practices promoting and instituting transgenderism could continue. She detailed the “don’t ask, don’t tell” practices at her school, and was asked by the reporter what would happen if a male student claiming to be a female wanted to “use the bathroom with the other girls.” She responded, “That’s what’s on the birth certificate.” She was asked to clarify whether this included girls’ locker rooms, to which she again responded, “That’s what’s on the birth certificate.” The district, she said, has a “weird kind of culture where it’s almost like a don’t ask, don’t tell,” and “Norwood is pretty accepting.” Being “pretty accepting” is not acceptable if it occurs in violation of Title IX.
This behavior promotes a discriminatory ideology and is against state law and Title IX. Allowing men to compete in women’s sports and use women-only privacy spaces is a dangerous practice that turns Title IX on its head.
“This continued disregard for state law and Title IX by multiple schools in Ohio just goes to show how pervasive this destructive ideology extends in the education world,” PPT Director Michael Chamberlain said. “The unfortunate truth is that too many of those we trust our children’s education to hew to the same fads and groupthink, regardless of where the mass of opinion lies in their particular communities. Even worse, when these beliefs clash with the law and common sense, their reflex is to hide what they are doing, rather than re-evaluate and course correct.”
