An experienced communications pro joins the watchdog group.

Government watchdog Protect the Public’s Trust (PPT) announces that Alexa Moutevelis has joined the organization as Communications Director. In that role Alexa will interact with the public and press, assure the quality of PPT’s external communications, and help ensure the group remains faithful to its strategic vision.

She brings extensive experience in journalism, strategic communications, and digital media, having held editorial and communications roles across national media outlets, non-profits, and political organizations. Her background spans newsroom leadership and content creation, with a focus on public policy, transparency, and institutional accountability.

Prior to joining Protect the Public’s Trust, she served as an editor at Fox News Digital overseeing media and culture coverage. Previously, she launched and led a vertical within the Media Research Center to identify and expose bias in entertainment TV.  Moutevelis has also held communications leadership roles with Students for Life of America, Citizens United, and Citizens Against Government Waste, and has written or consulted for publications including National Review Online, the Heartland Institute, The Political Insider, and the Washington Examiner’s Red Alert Politics. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Washington and Lee University.

“I’m proud to be a part of PPT’s important work,” Moutevelis said. “The public’s confidence that the government is acting on its behalf has been severely eroded. The only path to restoring that trust is a renewed commitment to transparency, fairness, and the equal application of ethical and legal standards. Those principles are the foundation of a working republic and live at the heart of PPT’s mission.”
