Karine Jean-Pierre hit with an ETHICS complaint: Conservative group claim Biden’s press secretary violated the Hatch Act with her ‘mega MAGA Republicans’ attack during a briefing

Joe Biden’s spokesperson is facing an ethics complaint for claims she violated the Hatch Act by telling voters from the briefing room podium that they should not vote for Trump-supporting candidates.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre frequently says she cannot answer reporters’ questions because it would go against the Hatch Act, which prevents certain federal officials from campaigning because it can unfairly influence elections.

On Wednesday, Jean-Pierre opened her briefing by disparaging Donald Trump voters and candidates who align themselves with the former president and urged Americans not to vote for Republicans.

In a letter Thursday to the U.S. Office of Special Counsel’s Hatch Act Unit and Counsel to the President Stuart F. Delery, the group requested an investigation be launched into Biden’s top spokeswoman.
