It has been revealed that John Kerry’s office is costing American taxpayers an estimated $4.3 million per year, with many of his aides taking home six-figure salaries.
The former secretary of state has served as the Special Presidential Envoy for Climate for the Biden administration since 2021.
According to records provided to the Boston Herald by the State Department via a Freedom of Information Act request, Kerry’s office employs 27 people, all but one of whom receive compensation of over $100,000 per year. None of the employees are named in the records.
While those who serve as policy analysts and senior policy advisors have their titles listed, the titles of many of the employees bringing home the highest salaries are also redacted.
