Complaints Filed After ASU Employees Caught on Undercover Videos Discussing Promoting DEI
- March 11, 2026
Staff, Arizona Insiders
Arizona State University (ASU) employees were secretly recorded discussing how they are promoting Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) at the university, resulting in two complaints filed against the university. Arizona’s state constitution prohibits preferential treatment or discrimination based on race, sex, color, ethnicity or national origin at public universities and government agencies. President Donald Trump signed Executive Order 14151 on January 20, 2025, which eliminates funding for DEI policies. DEI may also violate federal law; Title VI and Title IX of the Civil Rights Act.
